We interviewed Mikio Numata, who is the training coach for the Toyo University Swimming Club and the Japan national swimming team, and currently serves as a training coach for the High Performance Support Program at the National Institute of Sports Sciences, Japan Sport Council, and Haruka Suzuki, a registered dietitian involved in Ajinomoto Co.'s Victory Project®, a nutritional support program for top athletes. We asked them about the training, nutrition, and conditioning required for competitive swimmers.
